Biology and fungicide resistance of Erysiphe necator

Isolates of E. necator, the causal agent of grapevine powdery mildew are collected in several wine regions of Hungary. Specimens are used for DNA isolation and preservation on in vitro grapevines. The phylogenetic diversity of the isolates is examined by sequencing of adequate loci. Tests for the identification of strains with resistance to different antifungal agents are done by biological assays.
