Aim of the project:
Food product scandals, customer complaints, product falsification and similar issues call the attention to the importance of food safety, product originality and consumer protection; at the same time one can see that the problems above are caused by the lack of information. The solution is complex: includes the improvement of health-consciousness and cooperation of numerous industrial, social and academic in comprehensive programs. In addition, it is of key importance to educate professionals working in this field. In order to realize the above mentioned goals, within the frames of our program, we integrate industrial companies, civil society organizations and research institutes, realize diverse programs and work out novel dissemination tools (competitions for secondary school students, open days, spectacular exhibitions, scientific workshops and conferences, publications, films and other dissemination materials). Since consumer protection and food quality questions are of great importance for the entire society, we use various communication tools and grouped into 30 tasks/programs.
The realization of Hungarian origin and consumer protection on high level requires the education, informing and dissemination of new tools, methods, scientific results, foreign best practices and quality assurance systems amongst the parties concerned.
In the course of the project we emphasize the role of Hungarian food producer companies, because there are ambitions of great importance to help the Hungarian food industry as national leading manufacturing sector in enhancing market positions of food products of good quality and improving competitiveness of food manufacturers. Therefore, it is crucial to give authentic information to the costumers, and improve the confidence in the safe Hungarian products of good quality.
