The Hungarian Development Center also had the opportunity to introduce their activity. The main aim of the Hungarian Development Center is to provide information about the direct funding opportunities offered by the European Union outside the framework of the programmes of the European Structural and Investment Funds and to carry out the related coordinating tasks. Last year they prepared an interview about the WINETWORK project of the Horizon 2020 EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation. This project is based on the cooperation of 11 partners representing 7 European countries including the Food and Wine Research Centre of the Eszterházy Károly University of Applied Sciences, Hungary.
The Hungarian Development Center invited our Research Centre to attend the opening conference of „2016 – The Year of Young Hungarian Entrepreneurs" and take part in the interactive presentation of the Hungarian Development Center. The presentation was held by Mr. Antal Kiss, Ministerial Commissioner in the Ministry of National Development of Hungary, Dr. Kálmán Zoltán Váczy, director general of Food and Wine Research Centre, Eszterházy Károly University of Applied Sciences and Mr. Gellért Szó, confectioner, winner of the "Hungary's Cake 2015" competition.
Dr. Kálmán Zoltán Váczy presented the experiences of the Research Centre in fund raising and summarized the main aims of the WINETWORK project. The WINETWORK project aims to establish a professional network to close the divide between science and practice.
