The WG1-WG2 working group meeting organized in Budapest from 26th to 27th February 2015 was part of the COST Program, in which the Regional Knowledge Centre, Eszterházy Károly College also participates. The aim of this project is the sustainable control of grapevine trunk diseases.
The meeting was co-hosted by our Regional Knowledge Centre and the University of Debrecen.
Kálmán Z. Váczy (Regional Knowledge Centre, Eszterházy Károly College) welcomed the participants then Florence Fontaine (Université de Reims) set forth the establishment of an international network (WINETWORK) that aims to build a knowledge reservoir by the synthesis of the available practical and scientific knowledge related to sustainable vineyard management.
His presentation was followed by subject of Pathogen characterization, detection and epidemiology and the topic of Microbial ecology.
The ManaGTD Round Tables in the afternoon discussed the following issues: Pathogen characterization and pathogen detection; Pathogen epidemiology; the Inventory of microflora and identification of beneficial microorganisms.
The syntheses of the above mentioned round tables were carried out on the second day of the meeting, which was ended by Florence Fontaine"s speech.
